Here we go

I have been thinking about getting this blog back up and running for quite a while now..I've really been meaning to inform people of my pregnancy progress throughout most of this experience, but I've just been too busy (lazy) and trying to keep busy (sleeping) has made me exhausted. Either way...better late than never to dust this thing off and get it going!

Last week I hit the 21 week mark! Woot! It is hard to believe this "experience" is half way done. Whoa! Where has the time gone?! I think the thing that has helped the time go by so fast is that I don't feel pregnant. I just feel like a lady who has gained some inches in her midsection. My weight is holding steady (no gains yet...) but I can tell that my pants are fitting a little tighter. At my last doc appointment, I was told I have an anterior placenta which explains why I haven't been feeling any movement or kicks, but at my 18 week sono, I sure could SEE a lot of movement! Here is a pic from that sonogram. Holy crap! There is something alive in there!

Bruce and I absolutely wanted to know the sex of our baby so we are happy to report that we will be having a little boy!! Bruce had definite opinions on what his name would be, but unfortunately we have yet to agree on that. ;) We are still working out the kinks!

Once we found out the gender, I headed to Lowe's to purchase a can of paint. I had already painted most of the walls a light gray color and we wanted to select a gender related color to accent. The green might seem a little bright, but once we get things hung up on the wall, I think that will help mellow things out.

Bruce and I are so lucky to already have most of the furniture for the room! A lady I used to work with just had kids a few years ago, and she was looking to get rid of their furniture so she sold it to us for a very cheap price! Awesome!!

Have a great Tuesday!
