We are only a few short weeks away from welcoming Baby C into the family! This past weekend I got most everything ready and organized in his room. I know I have been saying that a lot the last few posts, but I finally moved the furniture around to where I wanted it, all of the clothes, wraps, bibs, burp rags, etc have been washed in the infant detergent, and the diapers and wipes are ready in the changing table. I have already started to make a list of things I need to bring to the hospital, but this second time around, I know I will leave most of the extra crap at home. When I had Karsen, I packed anything and everything I could think of, then, I hardly used any of it, so when we got back home, it sat in my luggage for a solid 3 weeks on our bedroom floor. This time I know that I dont need nearly the clothes I took last time, so my bag should be much lighter!
Here are some pics of Karsen over the last week. Again, if you are on Tiny Beans, you have most likely seen all of these.
In celebration of one of our last free weekends, Grandma and Grandpa agreed to take Karsen overnight so Bruce and I could go out for a nice dinner and get some stuff done around the house. We got Karsen's carseat moved to the side of the car in both vehicles, and we installed both of the bases for the infant carrier, in both cars. It feels good to have all of that done. We then went out to dinner at Cooper's Hawk on the Plaza and of course walked down to The Cheesecake Factory for a slice of cheesecake to go! Yum! Below are some pics of Karsen having a good time with Grandma and Grandpa!
Here is a pic of Karsen with his Little Hearts shirt on in support of a good friend, Lydia!
When we got home from Grandma and Grandpa's, Karsen got to play in his new outdoor toy! Mom went to all kinds of garage sales looking for something like this. He spent hours on it!
A selfie with our "Love4Lydia" shirts on!
Total weight gain: According to my last appoint, I was up 21 pounds from my official starting weight. That is a number I could handle to hear, and should hopefully drop once I have the baby and can start nursing! That helped with Karsen last time.
Maternity clothes: Anything loose around my midsection is ok by me.
Sleep: Sleep has been ok still. Still getting up to go to the bathroom, and still some pain in my hips. Oh well. Nothing I cant handle.
Best moment this week: Spending a night without the kid. While I did miss him, it was nice to have some time to ourselves before the chaos of two kiddos will begin!
Miss anything? Sleep.
Movement: This kid is moving ALL. THE. TIME. Best feeling ever.
Food cravings: Raspberry iced tea and anything sweet.
Symptoms: Tight belly...and tired early in the evening.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On and comfortable.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy most of the time now that I know the end is in sight...at school and with meeting this baby!
Looking forward to: Meeting this little boy. As the days pass, I get more and more excited. Two weeks from tomorrow we will have our little dude!
